Past

Quality Auto Accessories is the industry’s pioneer, the original manufacturer of the TARGA GARD stainless steel accessories. Established in 1978, QAA was founded on the idea that customers want to make their cars look beautiful while offering some amount of protection from road debris and tar. This idea eventually lead to the creation of the TARGA GARD; Fully self adhesive stainless steel panels that were polished to a high shine and resembled chrome. Today we refer to them as rocker panels. Ultimately, this lead to the development of more accessories that could be fabricated and we came up with the pillar post trim and many other custom pieces that are not found anywhere.

A love of cars, trucks and SUVs is the motivating force behind the productivity of our company. QAA strives to create specialty parts and accessories that would make vehicles more attractive, more unique, safer, more fun, and like-new again.

Present

QAA has been accepted as a member of Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA)for the high quality of its product. We are proud to be recognized and acknowledged for our achievement. This trade association consists of a diverse group of manufacturers, distributors, auto restorers, restylers, car clubs, race teams and more. Membership in SEMA today carries with it the prestige of being part of a progressive trade organization that represents the most vibrantly dynamic sector of the global aftermarket, suppliers of specialty and performance products. SEMA’s particular emphasis is on helping its members achieve and maintain acceptable world-class quality standards. Membership in SEMA is limited to companies, clubs and associations.

Further more, QAA currently develops and manufactures 90% of our products in the US while importing a small number of chrome trim. We continue to provide and supply our stainless steel accessories to companies, dealerships, and have expanded to retail customers.

Future

As the complexion of the automotive aftermarket changes, driven by consumer buying habits and trends, products offered by QAA consistently take on a new shape and appeal. All the time we keep designing and coming up with accessories for new models, expanding our market and offering new ways and approaches at enhancing the look of a vehicle.
